We'll be the ones to point out the flaws, I'm simply not a fanboy. I will point out the flaws of all fighters, but at the end of the day I'm in the mindset that I don't focus on the bad things and the ignorant **** a chinchecker would. Don't get me wrong, I don't have an issue with you guys elsewhere, it just bugs me you have a twat come into the forum and open with "Forrest Griffin has a glass jaw". It's the stupidest ****ing comment ever. One guy getting a knockout who doesn't normally get one over another does not make him have a glass jaw. Fitch stopped Alves, doesn't mean Alves has a bad jaw.

And you're right, some people do have glass jaws, most of these people aren't people that have them and it is that they've been in so many wars. Every fighter has a certain amount of punches they can take, some are higher than others. It's very insulting in a sport where a knockout comes a lot easier for people to just disacknowledge fighters and throw them aside saying they have glass jaws when it's simply not true.

I just think you guys are magnificent trolls. For someone to qualify for a "glass jaw" it takes a lot less than fair to say they have a glass jaw. I shouldn't take you guys seriously anyway, You love the opportunity to say this ****.

Oh, and by the way. Your lead glass jaw guy in your avatar turned out not to be so glass jawed after all. Explain that, please.

Frankllin didn't hit him with anything but jabs and body kicks and he dropped him off of a jab, once. Poor punch resistance, period.

Forrest Griffin does have a glass jaw. Griffin got put out in '06 by Jardine and Jardine only stopped one ****ing person in the UFC; Griffin. If you happen to be a fighter's only KO victim, you probably have a glass jaw rather than the winner being an extraordinary puncher. Also, Forrest has been brutally stopped by punches from the guard and by a fadeaway jab, neither of which is a technique known for putting opponents out stone cold. Accept it deniers, glass jaws exist in MMA and Forrest has one.

Forrest has no glass jaw, watch the fight with Jardine and you will see. Jardine landet hooks right on the chin and Forrest didn`t drop, but he was hurt so that Jardine could punch him for 10 seconds THEN Forrest dropped and Jardin could pound on him till the ref stopped the fight but even after Jardins ground&pound Forrest wasn`t out and could stand up right after

No, you a missing the point. We are well aware that some fighter punch resistance is more then dubious. The difference between most of us and you, is that WE DON'T GIVE A SINGLE **** ABOUT IT. It's exactly like if you were stating that bottled water can be drink, or that air can be breath...

The day we will need **** to help us understand that some people can't take a punch, like Andrei Arlovski, we will come to the general and ask for advice, until then, just **** OFF WANKER !!!

dont condescend to me man, especially when Im doing my best to show you some basic respect. Respect that you have yet to earn.

of course I agree chucks chin was weak by the time he reached the age of 40 with so many wars behind him. but that's not what you wrote originally. You wrote that because his chin became so fragile his ENTIRE career average chin somehow plummets. <------ thats bull****.

everybody gets hit with hard shots, not geting dropped multiple times in a fight by them proves you have a great chin. Not speculation and excuses. Kickes to the head I can forgive, knees by overeem I can see as well but chucks been rocked by a single punch throughout his career his chin is a level below great.

Yes Rampage is a hard hitter one of the hardest punchers in the division, but the punches he landed on Chuck really wernt all that special, and it wasnt like these punches thrown were in landed in combination, one overhand right had liddell hurt, then another a minute later. Henderson got hit by those same punches and he wasnt dropped, thats because Dan has a better chin than Liddell.:deal

Did you ever think that you might have stricter standards - standards I would suggest are not warranted - as to what constitutes a "glass jaw?" Basically, I believe - based on 35 years of watching boxing - that a large proportion of fighters have "glass jaws" of one degree or another; that is, they can be knocked the **** out. Guys with solid chins don't get knocked out, for the most part. And certainly not multiple times.

Now I am not knowledgeable enough about MMA to assess who does and who doesn't have true glass jaws, so I'm leaving that to my colleagues who follow the sport more closely. But what I can say is that, based on what I have seen, it seems as if glass jaws are even more prevalent in MMA than boxing - which is why the Chincheckers are needed here as well!:good

So basically Zakman the novelty of your gimmick has worn off in the general so you are gonna try and get a reaction out of the MMA section?

    YAWN!

I didn't say that Chuck's entire chin legacy was shat on due to the end, you just didn't understand my gist, at all. And no, early in his career he never ate a single punch that had him rubber legged and rocked. The closest you'll find is the Mezger punch that didn't even leave him wobbling and from which he came back to KO Mezger shortly.

What Rampage did was what I said in my earlier post, he landed an accumulation of blows throughout the entire fight, hard blows coming from a puncher, and he managed to knock Chuck down twice. Two knockdowns from a massive puncher don't indicate a glass jaw even in boxing let alone when MMA gloves are being thrown.

Hendo was dropped and rocked multiple times by prime Wanderlei and what about when Anderson kicked him in the face and dropped him with follow-up punches? Is his jaw questionable because he got rocked by punchers? No, because those are huge hitters and they gave him great shots. Hendo has a better jaw than prime Liddell but you still won't find ten better jaws in MMA than prime Chuck Liddell.
