Back when Ignacio" Nacho" Navarro turned pro (older brother of former contenders Carlos and Jose ) he was promoted as knocking out Fernando in the Amatuers. Ive heard 2 stories to that one, if it is true then Fernando was knocked out before Tito. Nacho went like 7-0-1-3 kos as
a pro his bro Jose told me he just lacked the desire to keep going.

He was a lil bit hurt by Contreras in their fight. He dropped him at some point in the mid rounds and Juan was a bit shaky. But Contreras isnt much of a finisher and couldnt capitalize.
Contreras wasnt much of a puncher but he did have a knack for catching guys napping, he was fairly savvy counterpuncher by trade.

My memory of that fight is that Diaz pretty much worked him over and beat his arse for most of the fight but he did look a bit bothered in the round he was decked in.

Diaz certainly doesnt have a bad or glass chin..I would say its better than average but I would also note that he has an alright defense aswell. Pretty solid peek-a-boo guard, keeps the clean shots coming through to a minimum when he is fighting smart.

He is, actually. He isn't always strictly a knockout artist, but he's certainly known to have very good power in every division he's made a serious run in.

true. some people tend to underrate counterpunchers punching power because of their style (though some really don't have power) and overrates sluggers. JMM has power in his punches :good

Nothing wrong with Yory Boy's chin...He has never been Ko'd for the count, and has hardly been dropped in his career.

He just gets bashed to the point where he has to be pulled or his face is mince meat.

:patsch WTF are you talking about??? Yori Boy had a great chin. Even your hero Tito couldnt put him out, despite landing his best shots. Only time ive seen some one repeatdly hurt him was Lopez who had him hurt worst than Tito. His ko losses where due to accumaltion of shots. It was his defense that was lacking especially when he got older.

some of you are lousy at this

Juan Diaz's chin is really good it withstood Freitias best punch but cracked after numerous hard shots from JMM who can definetely crack.

Vargas has a very good chin but cracked because of Tito.....Freaking Tito is one of the top 3 best welterweight hitters of all time.

Ortiz chin didnt get destroyed by Maidana who is a tremendous puncher but just got his heart destroyed. Same with Chiquita Gonzalez in the first Carbajal fight he still completley had control of all his senses when he got knocked down in the 7th fool just refused to get up and didnt until the count was over. Pathetic too since all he had to do was stand up and he would of gotten his 40 second rest.

Not to mention he's 100% American (born a few miles from Boston), and his parents were Puerto Rican.
