Too bad. Instead, he is going to fight Daniel Peretyatko, who, and lets be fair to him, is a crash-test dummy. Man, I was really hoping Glaskov would score a good opponent.
Figured. This was too good to be true, and happened too quickly. I doubt Peter would have been in shape.
Daniel Peret? He's ****ing woeful . No disprespect to him, he comes to fight (been in a few times against top prospects over here) but he really is pretty useless.
Sam Peter is a L hook away from Dimitrenkos or Fury's titles, their rankings and their paydays. Why should he risk his top 20 ranking to be beaten around on 10 days notice by any upcoming prospect. I understand the $$$ was excellent for the Helenius fight, but it was almost disrespectful for a still prime Peter to be called upon on 3 weeks notice, and then expected to be in peak form. Now that he knows Glaskovs got him on the radar, maybe he can take 10 wks to whip himself into shape, get some decent sparring in, and make a run at stopping wannabees in their way up.
Have you seen the photos of that fight? Good lord, Peretyatko must have trained his arms by lifting buckets of fried lard into his mouth, all day long. Possibly the most disgracefully out of shape boxer I've ever seen. And what is he, like 40 years old? - You can't even call him a "crash test dummy." - He'd never fit behind the wheel. http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...Glazkov+-+Peretyatko&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us WTF is wrong with Glazkov's management? The guy is 26 y-o, massively talented, good looking (i.e. easy to promote to the masses) and they're setting up fights that do absolutely NOTHING for his experience or career. This is worse than Universum.
