Get outta dodge with the cliche Ottke references. Ottke was a superior defensive specialist who had a style that could foil almost anyone.

Did he have a gift decision at the end of his career vs Reid? Yes. Did basically every top level fighter receive the same? Yes.

Let's not perpetuate this myth any longer.

You're exactly right! Martin was throwing pawing jabs that almost to a punch were either being rolled or caught directly on Glazkov's gloves. Glazkov was landing crisp jabs and right crosses to the stomach.

About a minute in rd 1, Martin throws a lazy left jab that landed and Glazkov fired back with his own jab over the top, much more crisp, much faster, catching Martin before his pawing jab made it back.

Watching the match up with the sound off or as I am right now, a foreign speaking commetator crew really changed my perspective on the match.

Glazkov's going to be out for a long while the injury was a bad one.

'Heavyweight contender Vyacheslav "Czar" Glazkov's right knee injury was more severe than originally thought, and he will be out of action for about a year.

Glazkov challenged Charles Martin for a vacant world title on Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and suffered a third-round knockout loss, but not because he got nailed by a big punch.

Rather, Glazkov severely injured his knee while throwing a punch and was unable to continue. He first hurt the knee when he slipped to the canvas earlier in the third round. He got up and continued to fight until he went down again a few moments later while throwing a punch.

He got up again but limped to a corner and could not continue. Television replays showed Glazkov's knee buckling badly and giving out when he went down for the second time.

Ringside doctor Gerard Verlotta diagnosed Glazkov (21-1-1, 13 KOs) with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, but it turned out the injury was more severe.

Glazkov, 31, a 2008 Ukrainian Olympic bronze medalist who now fights out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, visited Dr. Benjamin Yukhanan in Florida on Wednesday and got the bad news.

"The doctor says my knee is much worse than we thought," Glazkov said. "It's not just the ACL. It's also the meniscus [which is torn], and my whole knee was dislocated."

Glazkov's knee is still swollen, and he won't be able to have surgery until the inflammation subsides.

"They can't do surgery right away," he said. "I'm in a cast from the bottom to the top of my leg, and I'll be in the cast for a month. After they remove the cast, I will do physical therapy for around another month. After that, they can do the surgery.'

Parker takem winner will be mando due in January.

    Pulev chisora an eliminator

If chisora wins that will no doubt be AJs first defence if he wins the title.

My guess is if AJ wins he'll have two defences before the mando in jan

LOL @ people overrating this unproven bum Martin. Dominating the fight? 2 ****ing rounds scored where nothing really happened and you consider that domination? And one of the judges had it scored for Glazkov so how exactly was Martin going to win easily?

Martin is a complete can who has proven absolutely nothing so far and got lucky. Just because he's American and (paper) champion the hype is strong already.

The fact that Martin could get out boxed a fighter the caliber of Glazkov says it all. It also doesn't help that Martin didn't seem like he really wanted to put out when he was fighting AJ. He seemed resigned to getting knocked out early and go home with a big paycheck.
