Heard on Billy C.'s chow yesterday Golden Boy will have weekly boxing on FOX 1, which launches next month. I believe the new channel will be a rebranding of the channel SPEED. Awesome news.

Golden Boy has stepped up their game. Hopefully, Top Rank can keep pace.

Would love to see some bigger fights on here. The FNF crap promoters throw out whenever they get on primetime TV is ridiculous and just hurts the sport.

Yep, and I believe these shows will be on Monday instead of the typical Friday/Saturday time slot. Which is great because Friday is usually clogged with FNF, ShoBox or perhaps a Telemundo broadcast, etc.. Then of course Saturday is stacked. HBO, Showtime, Telefutura, TYC Sports, etc. So, having it on Monday is cool. Definitely a good move.

This is good for boxing and credit to GBP who really seems to be doing a lot of things right lately.

The first card is Jacobs-Lorenzo and Eddie Gomez-Steve Chambers. Thats an ESPN level type of card which isn't a bad thing.

The cards are going to be every other Monday and if the ratings do well Fox would be interested in doing an occasional bigger budget show as well, which would be great.

GB and FSN have had a good relationship already, so it's not surprising they will be on the FS 1 channel.

And from I've read, GB Live will be on every other Monday.

Unless they like Showtime and CBS can agree to a deal with Time Warner,Inc. cable they won't be shown in any of the largest audiances in the US.They have until July 29th or they are being dropped on the giant cable network.
In other words, they are proper ****ed as will Showtime.

People love their sports, so a deal should me made by the time college football starts.

  9. So what happened to this idea from Oscar? I know it was during the time that he was putting everything in powder form up his nose but, where is the FOX sports 1 GBP boxing at now?:huh

    Haymon killed it didn't he?

  12. No. Haymon does not have a deal with FOX. Oscar is making excuses. Nobody is holding him back.

GBP shows will be streaming free on Roku, AppleTV and Amazon via RingTV app here soon. Which honestly going that direction is going to be better long term anyhow than buying time on cable anyhow.
