Agree with your sentiments. Glen to me represented the best of boxing. My father and I have always been fans of Glen. And it was solidified we were hardcore fans the night he ko'd RJJ, not because of the win, but because of his words afterwards. He was the epitome of representing what our "genlemen's sport" fighters used to be like.
If Glen Johnson is a legend what would be the implications concerning Bernard Hopkins, the one man to have stopped him back when he was undefeated...
Bernard Hopkins is a legend in skills, Glen Johnson is a legend in courage and fighting will. He never ran from anyone, he would fight anyone!
I don't know why running is mentioned here cause you have to step back and not just lean on your front foot. Johnson is a hard man and Road Warrior has a lot of meaning but he lost against many including Woods, Tarver, Dawson twice, Bute, Froch, Cloud and more there would follow if he had gone on and on. I tell ya what sayin that Johnson is a legend means... It means that B'Nard is the best fighter of these times alongside with Roy, Pernell, Floyd and Manny and ever since those four Leonard, Hearns, Hagler and Duran stopped fighting.
Yes he was brave and tough and thats about it. He was good but not on that A level and thats why he had 17 loses.
