This is not a thread to bash Chad Dawson who fought his ass off. It is to appreciating a very good aging warrior who has been in the ring with the very best and proved he still has some left in the tank. Granite chin, loads of stamina, very good workrate, very good defense and will be up in your face for 12 rounds and if you win, contriversal or not you will have have to work your ass off for it.

Glen Johnson gives the fans what he wants. It was the best fight of the night and he has been in some good ones throughout his carrer.

    Glen Johnson-truly a Road Warrior.:good

Agreed. He has showed his dedication to the sport by keeping his body and skills in top shape and overcoming some controversial losses along the way. Respect to Glencoffe.

I've always been a fan of Johnson and was happy for him when he won fighter of the year in 2004. Last night once again he showed us all why he's still a great fighter.

I posted this in another thread about Johnson's post fight interview, but it seems appropriate here as well.

"And Johnson was even classy after making the "HBO" mistake. He immediately corrected himself and apologized. I know he was disappointed with that decision and saying "sorry" for a slip of the tongue is not something many in his position would take the time to do. He's a class guy who deserves respect for his accomplishments in the ring and his conduct outside of it. Props to the Road Warrior."

True warrior, great guy, should've won. I hope (but doubt) he gets a rematch.

Big, big fan of GJ. I don't know anyone could like the sport and not respect him, honestly.

I agree. Glen Johnson is the true Road Warrior and one of the best professionals in the game. He deserved the win last night. Even though I lost money on his not receiving the decision, it was a good tough showing from both fighters and both men deserve props for giving us the best fight of the night.

Those scores on the other hand. . .8-4 for Dawson? What in the world?

Jonhson is very underrated by a lot of people but he is a great fighter. Stays in great shape and is still motivated after all those years, will fight anyone anywhere and carries himself with a lot of dignity. True warrior, much respect.
