I hope he don't get old overnight and beat this inactive champion. he deserve a few good fight wins a few of them and retires, and wait for a chance to be on the HOF.

Diaconu has to fight Branco by March, or Johnson fights Branco for the Interim title, as far as I know. I think the fight will take place in February and the winner should face Johnson by September at the very latest, hopefully.

I hope Johnson pulls it off, he can certainly beat Branco.

Can't wait even though I know it will be a while before this happens. He is one of my favorites and I don't think he gets as much recognition as he deserves.

I think he gets the recognition. I don't believe you'll find many in here who won't admit Glen is a very good fighter and a true warrior.

Btw I'd love to see Johnson vs Diaconu (if he beats Branco)!

Maybe I worded that wrong, I don't doubt people on here know him and respect him, I guess it's just that i like him so much, I wish there would be more talk of him, or that his name would have been in the spotlight more. He really lost some VERY close fights and it sucks knowing he could have been greater than he is.

I hear ya. Johnson is an example for professional fighters, in terms of heart, guts and warrior mentality. And he showed it from the start, in the Hopkins fight, although he was getting beaten badly, he never stopped coming forward and trying. I was like "damn man, go down!", but he never did.

Pavlik did the same thing, was getting pummeled but kept chasing Bhop... BHOP has the perfect recipe for powerful pressure fighters, he has shown this with Glen Johnson , Tarver and Pavlik...... Its the quick ones that give him trouble.... Taylor, Calzaghe , Prime RJJ

Right.. GOOD for him! I love the road warrior.... although most boxers don't ever think they lose, unless KO'd .... Johnson has never lost a fight in his mind haha
