His chin although not as bad as made out, isn't the best, Id be foolish to state otherwise, he can box though, and has a decent dig on him that will gain respect of an opponent.

Groves is a good fighter and has the potential to achieve a lot more, imo.

I think he will pick up a title at some point, same as Degale, neither will be a world champion but both could pick up a alphabet strap a long the line, Its the sad state of affairs of boxing in a sense.

Yeah, I hate ENGLISH Froch SO much that nowadays I argue that he has one of the best resumes in modern day boxing, that demands respect & cannot be argued with when the haters try to hate. I tell anyone who tries to argue that SCOTTISH Ricky Burns is the no1 brit fighter at the moment(including uncle Frank) to behave themselves, cos Froch is the man, & love him or hate him, hes a credit to the sport.

never let facts get in the way of a good story though, eh?;)

To be fair, thats a pretty lazy prediction....you will be proven right because eventually the vast, vast majority of fighters lose at some point.

Lirva was just being his usual cheeky chappie self, loading the gun so we could fire it. Me being in a somewhat mischevious mood at the time, couldnt help myself but pull the trigger:D

as for this old argument, Im not budging. Pulling Glencoffe out of retirement after a poor loss where he admitted that the mind was willing but the body wasnt anymore? I believe the americans call it a 'dick' move.

Flashing the readies at Glencoffe to come out of a happy retirement to take a beating from a prospect who should really be rematching Degale or someone called Kenny Anderson instead? It stinks. Pure & simple.(got the tune to pure & simple in my head now:lol: pure & simple, Illl be there for you) maybe thats me just a scottish simpleton who is pure, he sees everything clearly through the murky & muddled waters of boxing, & simply asks himself-

"Why? why do Groves fight old retired man with veiny head in his 50's instead of fighting popular blokes people want to see him fight?" People like that bloke who won a gold medal- oh wait, thats both of them, silly me! is commonwealth gold a different make from the olympics one? Is that why they bite the medals? To see which is which?"

Reid? I have never argued that he was anything else than shot to ****. kenny must have thought all his xmases came at once when they threw the likeable porn star into the arena for Kenny to dine upon. So Reid was shot. Glencoffe is shot too. So theres different levels of shotness, but shot is shot. i.e. 9 times out of 10 shot guy wont win. However this is boxing, & upsets can happen. Like old George beating Moorer.

Tyson v lewis? I just remember Tyson took a sick beating in that fight, he was dangerous for a round, but most shot fighters have a good first round or two in them. Then they gradually fall apart, bit by bit...

As for Johnson doing well against Froch? I think he won a round or two at most. An easy nights work for the cobra who people tell me I never have anything good to say about him cos hes english. In here people seem to have forgotten the concept that theres a difference between like & respect.

Georgieporgie fans, Its hardly like Im asking big things of you here, all I want is an admission that Groves v Johnson is a mismatch, JUST like Anderson v Reid fight where you slated big Kenny mercilessly for beating on a 40 something, shot fghter.

    :good

    this deserves a bump

lots of **** being talked this week by groves and booth

johnson is coming for a paycheck. no more no less.

he doesnt care if he loses. he knows he can't beat bute, froch or ward, or any of the elite at 168.
