He looked really thin and drained at the weight in, and seemed to have no snap in his punches last night, i heard him say he struggles to make the weight, its not going to get no better at his age. Its a shame hbo rejected jonson vs adamek at cruserweight that would of been some fight.

As a long time Road Warrior fan, I think it may be time for him to consider retirement. Nothing about his style and skill set says that a move to cruiser is a good idea. Steve Cunningham would box circles around him just like Chad did last night.

I wish he'd consider retirement, but I figure he'll fight on. I think he could still give Tavoris Cloud a hell of a fight, but in a way, I'd rather not see him absorb that kind of punishment. Maybe he could lure Tarver out of retirement for a farewell type of fight in the Miami area, they could promote that easily.

He's been around a long time, and it's definitely starting to show.

I think he'd still be pretty game at LHW vs a lot of fighters, Dawson was just too slick last night and already knew what was needed to beat him.

after last night, i agree he should retire. but i don't think he's peaked and there's nothing more he can do. he doesn't have the power the hurt the very best, the speed to outbox them. he's gotten by on his TREMENDOUS will and heart for years but i think at this point, he'll be an opponent. tough fight for anyone but winable. he deserves more respect than to end his career like that

5 foot 10 cruiserweights arent typically sucessful......dwight quawi was an exception...not sure how tall ademek is

    No.
don't forget he started at 160.
i think he has no business above 175.
maybe if the cruiserweight's limit was still 190 he could have survived some top fights there and by 'survive' i mean to go the distance.
maybe a catchweight fight at 180 or something like this against adamek (who won't agree) or some other SMALL CW can be good.
but 200 is all wrong for johnson. he will get stopped again against top fighters there. age + size combination really matters.

    You just described Giacobbe Fragomeni.:D

Anyway Glen said he would fight on if he gets the right fights.

I like Glen Johnson and I think he should stick with 175. He was below the limit comfortably. He is not a big LH while Dawson is a big LH.

He should try and fight Fragomeni, who isn't that great and can't punch for ****. Or at least the winner of Erdei-Fragomeni.

    Really, though he should retire.
