Glen Johnson the Road Warrior could end up being KO ed against Allan Green once they step in the ring for the next round of the super 6 ! I don't see how going down in weight at this age could be a could thing ! Discuss !!
I **** on the whole idea. With my ass. ...But, I hope Glen ends up knocking the jive fluency out of Green.
The Road Warrior being introduced really did bemuse me. I had to check twice to make sure it was the same Glen Johnson. How a 41 year old is going to cut down safely to a weight he’s not fought at for a decade, I don’t know. If Green fails to look good in this, he’s a waste of space.
It's gonna be tough for him. He hasn't made it in 10 years and going down 7lbs at 41 (i think he's even older) is never a good idea. Plus with the way Glen fights if he's feeling slightly weakened it's gonna have a impact on how effective he can be. Green struggles with pressure but i think his youth will pull him through. I'll be rooting for Glenn though, great guy!
Allan Green is going to stop him. Cloud had him hurt at times in their fight. Obviously Green isn't as strong as Cloud but losing those extra 7 pounds can even it out.
The guy has to be desperate for money. I heard he got a divorce so his ex probably took him for hlaf.
10 days ago I red somewhere that he is 171 pounds. I'm not sure it's true but his work ethic is phenomenal.
It is but he may be weak as Oscar when he fought Manny or fight like Chris Byrd during his cruiser weight debeut ..
I think he's gonna make it, he's a hard worker. The thing that i didn't agree with is that the guy is killing himself to do it and the *******s still put a money clause there. Of course it's not 100% sure but what did you expect inviting a 41 fighter that didn't been at 168 since he was 31
Perhaps, but let's give him credit for staying active and fighting respectable competition. Usually fighters with 14 losses in our era are quickly considered bums but he isn't because he was competitive in all of his losses, has never KOed (stopped on his feet once against ATG Hopkins) and should have won a lot of close decision that didn't go his way. So yeah, I like him.
