Which 8 rounds did you score for Dawson?

Johnson's aggression by and large was more effective than Dawson's running away poking out ineffectual jabs.

His jabs stifling Johnson when he threw them out in 2s and 3s, and his combination punching was great.

I'm with Illmatic. 8-4 Dawson. A lot of very close rounds but I gave Dawson the edge in them and i'm not one of the ones who believe's the challenger has to take the title from the champ. I simply believe Dawson was more effective in 8 of the 12 rounds than Johnson.

I had it a draw a legit knockdown by Johnson would have sealed it for him

I had it 6-4-2 in favor of Dawson. 2 of those rounds were too close for me to call, and I scored them 10-10. Dawson 116-114

Dawson was the only fighter hurt, wobbled, and chicken dancing in this fight so to me Johnson should get the win. Did Dawson out box him? Sure. Different judges call these fights different ways.

I had Johnson ahead by two points.

Wasn't impressed by Dawson's performance at all. His best is still against Adamek.

Looks like I overrated Dawson. He has flash skills, but he doesn't hit as hard as it looks, his chin is less than very good, by quite a bit, and he doesn't have that mental strength and focus he needs against A- level fighters.

I thought Diaconu would have between a 25-33% chance of beating him. Now, I think it's more like 30-40%. If Diaconu, who has a big style advantage over him doesn't stop him, Diaconu is overrated!

Dawson is no elite. He is B to B+ right now. Adamek had a bad day that day and Dawson - his best ever.

I would even pick Bute to beat him!:deal

I thought Johnson did very well - he is certainly hard! sean was right!:deal

    Nice one, sean!:happy

I underrated Johnson...as Francisc Vastag said recently, it's easier to hurt the young'uns. The old old ones, you feel you're punching a wall!

Seems I have overstepped the mark talking about him and Tarver as "have-been NAMES".

I had it 115-113 to Johnson too. Not least, Dawson pretty much ran late on...how disappointing! The next p4p hope, my ass!

Adamek wasn't himself that night. And if you don't agree... watch Adamekv Briggs II and then Watch the Dawson fight. You can CLEARLY see that Adamek was not himself.

Which is one of the reaonss he is Cruiser now. Adamek had probelsmmakign weight and had a probelm over the fact he didnt spar southpaws in his preparation v Dawson.

Adamek didn't show enough interest in the fight tbh. He COULD and SHOULD of stopped Dawson in the latter rounds, easy. But it doesn't matter to me. Adamek is making a great run in the Cruiser division and a win over Bell will SECURE him a title shot v Cunningham, while Dawson is struggly with old men like Johnson.

I've said it a million times and ill say it again, Diaconu will test that ass.

    155-113 Johnson.

There was rounds where CD did very well in throwing combinations together but lets look at the facts of the fight. .

Dawson couldnt handle Glens power. He was backpeddling around the ring like a little girl all night.

There is no dispute that Glen landed the harder, cleaner, more damaging blows in that fight.

Dawson spent most of that fight getting backed up, thrown around, wobbled, buckled, and hurt. Its a miracle that he didnt hit the canvas on several occasions.

Glen pushing forward is what made that fight.

CD was the beaten fighter. Glen physically beat him up.

But you know. .hes 39 and HBO needs the younger star so they can overhype him and sell a few tickets. . so of course thats who the judges will give it to.

CLEARLY Glen won that fight by 2 rounds. . . i dont know how anyone could have scored it any other way.

    I had it 7-5 Dawson

For Glen, the most he won was 6 ronunds.

It might have been a draw.

I had it 7-5 Johnson, but I could've seen a draw as well. It just left a sour taste in my mouth the way that fight ended, as I had Johnson basically sweeping the end of it.
