It was just announced on fightnews that Glen johnson would replace
kessler as green's opponent in the super 6, and it sceduled for november
6th to be aired on showtime. How the hell is johnson going to make 168
when he came in the ring at 190 lbs for the cloud fight. He had a time
getting down to 175 for that fight and lost because he was sluggish, so
now he's supposed to do that and another 7 lbs. Puhleeeze. I can't beleive this fight is either made or very close to being done. But, it was
announced on fightnews as a done deal.

Glen Johnson is an old school warrior you can't hate. Allan Green will likely stop and retire a weight drained Glenn.

Glen has 5 weeks to train and make weight. That's insane for any elite fighter, that's even more insane for someone his age.

The other promoters have agreed on him because he won't get ko'd and won't ko Green. Both men will be out of the tourney after their fight.

I hope Johnson knocks Green. It would be fun.

Green won't be out if he wins, but i think the fight gets scapped because
    johnson doesn't make weight.

He will be out if he doesn't win by KO.

If Froch gets KO'd by Abraham, I don't think he'll be willing to continue to the next stage. Think I'd rather seen Ward vs Johnson than Ward vs Green II. Interesting how Johnson is Bute's sparring partner.

johnson could be 60 years old and they still won't knock him out.

This is almost as bad as making a 191lb Chris Eubank drain down to 168lbs in 2 weeks, like he did against Calzaghe.

When Green beats Johnson into submission, he better get alot of credit..

If Allan Green wins and I do mean "if", it will be utterly meaningless. He'll be fighting a handicapped fighter. And we're not quibbling about two pounds, three pounds, we're talking about you might as well cut a limb off. I have massive doubt that he can even make the weight if they're set on this really being part of a 168 pound tournament fight. This is absolute bull****.

Well nobody put a gun to Johnson's head to take the fight so there shouldnt be excuses.

He wants money, that doesn't make it a meaningful victory of any kind for Green if he wins. Get the **** out of here.

Did Johnson tell u that it's about the money? It's his body and if he feels that he can make weight, so be it..

Oscar could make weight for Pacquiao at 147 too. What's your point? Yeah, Johnson wants a fight at 168 again against Allan Green...for legacy. It's not about money at all. Not unless he calls me personally and tells me.
