I'll take a weight drained Glen Johnson over Brian Magee or whatever other names they had under consideration. At least he's a pro.

I like this late addition. I heard Bika was asked to join but he declined for personal reasons. And you know they want Butte to face the winner in a mega fight so Glen johnson aint bad. If johnson Ko's Green this could get really interesting but it isn't fair for a newcomer to advance to the semis with only 1 fight

This is a classic example of polar opposites. Here we have the "Road Warrior", who comes to fight and Green, who talks a lot of **** but can't back up ****. Johnson is just a great example of a fighter who gets good paydays long after his prime is over because he has proven himself to be an entertaining fighter. I wish i could say the same for Green. His display against Ward was a disgrace. I mean it's one thing to be beaten by the better man (as Ward was) but another to just lay down and let him beat the **** out of you like Green did. Johnson has balls, Green doesn't.

    This is good news, because

1 - Green probably wont be able to stop Johnson
2 - Johnson, drained and as faded as he is (with all due respect to the road warrior) probably wont be able to stop green

Meaning we get on with the original four as it should

Yes -- but how would you feel about watching Glen Johnson lose to Allan "Are my shoes on the right feet" Green?

At my house that would SUCK big time, and it is somewhat likely to happen under the circumstances.

Glen Johnson is going to be badly weight drained. However, he is facing Allan Green.

I believe Johnson could still win this. But Green will be looking to make good on his last chance to make some noise. I just think Green's analogy about Pit Bulls and Golden Retrievers works for this fight -- but just not in his favor. Glen Johnson is the only pit bull in this fight and he still might wreck Green despite the weight.

Either way, I hope we don't hear any excuses from the loser, because both guys tend to make plenty of them after a loss.

I dont think he will Boo..... i really dont. The only ? i see is how badly the weight loss will effect him, but other then that i think GJ has too much grit and aggression to be beat by the likes of Green. We will see though.

For the record if it does happen, it will suck beyond belief and i will dislike green even more.

Now im actually starting to worry as that wasnt even in my head when this was announced, i just dont see Green having the fortitude to beat GJ. He better not.

It's more like the contrary. If Johnson wins, Green will look so bad. If he wins, well, he'll win against an old mand who had only 5 weeks to cut weight. Johnson was at 190 on fightnight against Cloud. That may be his walking weight. 22 pounds to lose in 5 weeks when you're over 41. The fact that Johnson signed the contract doesn't change a thing to those facts.

    Sorry Finito.
