This is great news for boxing fans. 1st, we're gonna have Kelly Pavlik on ESPN FNF's June 8th & then a month later we'll have this Lt. Heavyweight clash between an old time veteran of many wars, Glen Johnson against a young, strong contender in Andrzej Fonfara.

This is a tough fight for me personally bc I like both fighters alot. I think Glen has seen better days & this fight may be his swan song. Fonfara knows with a win, he may be in line for a title shot by the end of the year.

I like Glen, but seriously, I don't think he'll stop Fonfara. If anything, the opposite happens, with Johnson biting the dust.

The Pole is 21-2 with 12 KO's & his last 9 fights have ended in brutal KO's.

You really think he's gonna TKO Johnson? Something that Bute, Froch, Cloud and Dawson couldn't do (All much bigger punchers and miles better fighters).

You don't know that the fighters you mention are bigger punchers then Fonfara. How can you determine that?

This is his real test as a contender. KO Johnson in impressive fashion & a Lt. HW title shot is in his back pocket.

BTW, have you seen Fonfara fight? His technique & pretty darn good & he gets great leverage on his punches. He just might be the next big thing in the Lt. HW division.

i dont think this guy will knock johnson out. but even though bute, froch, dawson, and cloud couldnt do it, you gotta think of it this way, glen johnson chin has alot of wear an tear well his whole entire body does because hes getting super old but i dont think he will get knocked out, im still pickin him to win then retire.

I seen him, decent but not very impressive to me I mean I can see him perhaps climbing to the lower part of top 10 but that's about it in my eyes.

I guess time will tell just how far he'll go. Personally, I think he has the right stuff to get to a title shot.

The Hype around Fonfara is to big. Johnson will beat him. I think, by late TKO.

Ok guys, coming outta Chicago here. I've been to Fonfara's last 6 fights. He is improving with every fight. His punch power is ridiculous. He looks very sharp and has great reach and height when comparing to other fighters in his class. His reach and power will be the deciding factor in this one vs glen. Fonfara looks really good right now and you can really tell that he is a force. Byron Mitchell was his last opponent and that dude was suppose to bring an even fight. Mitchell maybe touched him twice, got brutally floored in round 3. Fonfara is winning this through late TKO.

give me a break. Fonfara is just another over-hyped Chicago fight just like Don George.

    Interesting.

So I guess Glen is writing off SMW as a failed experiment?

During all the S6 buildup he kept saying how awesome the weight felt.

Saw vids of Fonfara vs Byron Mitchell, Looked good but Mitchell is only decent, and now shot. Glen is better then ANY of his opponents x10.

    Johnson TKO 10 or UD.
