I think I'd have to agree with you on this one.

I dont see Froch backing Johnson up, hardly anyone has managed to back Johnson up from what ive seen, the man is a pit-bull.

If this fight came down to who was going to back up first, im almost sure it would be Froch, cause when they clashed in the centre, Froch would quickly realize, that Glen tucks up inside as he goes to work, where as Froch doesn't. Johnson is just a better inside fighter than Froch imo, he goes to the body more effectively, has that chopping right hand, so I anticipate Froch would be the one to back up, to get more separation to use his reach/range, only that would be just as bad, cause Glen would roll foward then and make him work even harder, beit by moving, or punching, and because Froch has such poor technique where by he throws wide punches, puts too much weight on his back foot when Boxing off the backfoot, someone who applies intense pressure, would find lot of holes in his defense, exploit his tendency to swing wider.

Thats my take anyway, although I take the point, Glen is not as fit as he was a few years back, so would he be able to keep this up?

he looked as usual to me
but its a 175lb class where he has fought for years he was not heavy wtf

a tv screen can play tricks Johnson is always in shape

he cant somehow turn muscle into fat and move it to his belly area while making the same weight class

    in a few months

    You crazy :lol::lol::lol:

I think Froch would win. Froch is a warrior and has a steel chin. I think Johnson may give him a few problems but at the end Froch wins a unanimous decision.

Johnson carries something that's not an essential punch in Kessler's arsenal. The overhand right. Froch is going to have to be extremelly cautious of this punch and make sure he uses great footwork or Johnson could hurt Froch with this punch.

Froch is more skilled than Green though, and I believe he'll utilize punches to the body, but it still remains to be seen how effective he'll be with this style.

Fortunately, he'll give us a glimpse of this against Abraham.

But I agree with the thread starter that Johnsons style and ability to absorb punishment can cause some serious problems for Froch.

A great fight would be Abraham vs Johnson.

    Think about that ****...

Johnson coming foward into maybe the hardest PFP puncher in the sport.

Glen Johnson by brutal KO. Glen Johnson would force Froch to fight and when that happens his ugly mug gets crushed.

My initial thought was Froch by decision, because he's always in good condition, he likes to brawl(so the fight would be a competitive slug fest), his chin is sturdy enough to take the shots, he's strong willed, and because I think at this weight his stamina is better than Johnson's (I'm just thinking it is, I don't have much to base that on other than Froch has very good stamina at this weight).

    But....

then I remembered how much Kessler's body shots affected Froch and we know Johnson is going to work the body.

Gut instinct, especially if it's in Nottingham, Froch by decision(razor thin and contraversial).
