Apparently, nobody except for Bernard is ready for Glen Johnson even though he's 57 years old.

Pavlik by UD...Pavlik beats him up pretty good, but I don't see Johnson getting KO'd

Yeah, I thought of it after I saw the Pavlik vs Dawson thread. This would be a great fight. To fighters who apply great pressure and don't back down from nothing :good

johnson when he fought at 168 just was not as good as he is at 175.

do not know if it was the slightly faster 168 fighters but he lost to sheika when sheika then went on to fight calzaghe.

lost to some african who`s name i forget

    lost to branco

could not get to ottke and lost.

i think there are some other fighters in there as well before he moved up to light heavy.

he was fighting in his opponents backyards , all credit to him and i only saw the ottke fight of all these.

he was very frustrated in that fight it took place in a 24 foot ring i would have guess remembering back.

If Pavlik keep Johnson at a distances, he wins by possible KO. Now if Johnson can stay close up on his chest, he can win by possible TKO. Who ever fight their game plan better wins :yep

I gotta go with Glen Johnson that dude has been in the ring with Tarver, Jones, Dawson, and B-hop and he just walks thru **** and all of those cats got pretty decent power he would take away Kelly's will after he walks thru a few hard punches

Pavlik is nullified by being put on the backfoot, he won't be pushing Johnson back. It's likely Johnson keeps the nonstop pressure and it's a certainty that pavlik lacks the skill or power to correct that, so I'd say Johnson keeps drilling him until about the 5th round, where Pavlik is taken.

    Johnson TKO 5.

I think Pavlik will hit hard enough to keep Johnson from bulldozing his way in and i believe Pavliks jab will keep Johnson on the backfoot.

Whilst Johnson is a modern warrior i believe his strengths play into Pavliks, i.e. coming straight forward. Dont get me wrong im not totally sold on Pavlik but i think he would pull home a close but clear UD.

But i wouldnt place any money on it:good

Pavlik will fight the way he fought against Taylor 1.

Jab, jab to keep Johnson from swallowing him up and the right hand to score some points.

Pavlik UD in a much less problematic fight than Dawson's.

Johnson doesn't have the finishing skills anymore. He's old. This would affect his workrate too...

Pavlik close but clear and non-controversial UD.
