With 14 losses under his belt, it does look like a joke. But Johnson comes to fight and fights hard every time he comes. Which means who ever his opponent is should be expecting a war when they meet.

It makes sense to me. Johnson has been a key figure in the LHW title scene for the past six years. He's a hell of a lot better choice than Green any day!

yeah this inclusion really means nothing. if johnson wins, great, he hasn't been at 168 in years, and if green wins, sick, he beat a dude in his early 40's coming down in weight. i'm sure this inclusion is based on the fact that glen johnson comes to fight, has a semi marketable name, and won't price himself out, and it's obviously an opportunity he would take considering the type of guy he is. it makes no sense that sakio bika isn't slated to enter this tournament. weren't bika and green supposed to have a box off that would decide who took taylor's spot in the first place? sometimes I think these promoters simply like pulling sick jokes on fans and laughing all the way to the bank in the process.

nothing wrong with johnson and green being in a tourney like this, but its not the same, its no longer elite as advertised....they are good fighters, just not worthy of how they originally sold the product....

Of course Glen Johnson is an elite fighter he is coming off a series of title fights. Three of his last six fights have been for a world championship. Guys like Green, Ward, and Dirrell had never fought for a championship prior to entering the Super Six. If Bute is not going to be in the tournament then it only makes sense to bring in a top fighter from another division - provided they make the weight. If some of these guys sleep on Johnson, he'll put a beating on them. That goes for Dirrell, Froch and Abraham. Glen just needs to stay away from Andre Ward. SOG is winning this one all the way. It doesn't matter who's on the other side. All will fall.

pretty much says it. it's still a good tourney, we just need to get rid of the excess. unfortunately, kessler, who may very well have advanced, is gone so the rest of it is tainted no matter what

I totally agree with you there. It's a shame that Kessler couldn't continue in the tourney and it's disappointing that they didn't just drop Green when they had the chance.

threatening to sue from what i heard is the only thing that kept him in...****, he didn't belong in the first place and proved it against ward

imagine if we have kessler, dirrell, ward and abraham in the final 4. THAT'S what i was hoping for

If he could make 168 without killing himself he would be a good inclusion. The Road Warrior has on his game is an A class fighter, he's only lost to the elite or lost on dubious decisions. He's still got it, trust me, it's just the weight that will **** him here.

I like Glen but his inclusion is every bit as much a disgrace as Green's.

The TS is a disgrace for overreacting like a women and insulting a warrior like Johnson who was the best opponent available (outside Andrade).
