We had high hopes for him, what happened? Do you think he was ever any good? or do we blame it on bad matchmaking or a a bad trainer?

Where does he go from here and what can he do to make it into the top ten of his division?

Hes a decent fighter but there is something missing. I think hes not though enough and his engine ran short really fast.
But his most obvious problem is his defence.

He was never that good. He built up and undefeated record by facing all bums leading into the Kirkland fight. Many guys look like hot prospects when they have faced all bums.

His chin sucks, and he's probably just not that good anyways.

He wasn't all that good to be honest. They showed him a lot on Solo Boxeo, and he was rocked by a guy that he had no business getting rocked by. He got the KO, if I remember, but he didn't look great.

I think his name was Elco Garcia. I forgot, though, but Tapia was struggling against the guy. I think the corner threw in the towel or something.

Holy hell, I see he lost another fight is the purpose of this thread... :sad

Don't kid yourself. Soro, the guy he fought last night is a damned good fighter. Also, Tapia, due Smoger's incompetence received a bad concussion from Kirkland. When Tapia took that last shot when he was already out on the ropes I knew the future had just gotten dimmer for Tapia. That blow, I believe, did long term damage to Tapia.
