He may have not gotten the judges respect tonight but he certainly got everone elses. He was one punch away from KOing "BAD" Chad Dawson.

Flat, would you agree the fight could have easily been a draw?

Yep. Very good account of himself. I thoroughly enjoyed the fight. Had it 8-4 at the end for Dawson with a lot of very close rounds. Unfortunately for Johnson, he dosen't have a lot of options now. Maybe Erdei?!?!

Actually he did have my respect until he started crying about being robbed. I thought he was gonna complain about the disparity of the scoring which in my opinion was way too wide. I had Dawson winning but it was much closer then the judges had it.. But to outright say he was robbed and cry about it was disappointing. Still he did show he's a warrior and has my respect when hes fighting in the ring..

I said it was a close fight but a 39 year old Johnson is not suppose to fight a close fight and nearly ko a 25 year old fighter.

    Show your elders some respect.

He's not saying that Johnson won the fight, he's saying that Johnson did more than a 39 year old should be expected to do.

Glen Johnson doesn't fight like a 39 year old man though. He came forward the whole fight and never stopped throwing punchers. No sign of fatigue at all. Even showboated!

The competitive nature of this fight had very little to do with age!

If you were robbed multiple times you'd have a right to complain too. I agree that I was a close fight but Glen whooped that ass. He manhandled Dawson, hurt him on multiple occasions and made him run. He won't even get a rematch for his efforts. He had a right to complain about it. You complaining about him complaining is really a definition of pathetic. Think about it.

Come to think of it, it is. He fought Harding who was a defense counter-puncher that only had 9 knocks out and mainly used his jab as his offense, so he was free to hit. Against Adamek, Adamek didn't throw many punches and seemed intimated by the better boxer, it was until rounds 10-12 where Dawson was finally tested. So this is the first time Dawson has been pressured from round to round against an experienced world class fighter. I still think Dawson won, but he could of fought better.

As I follow your convoluted thought processes. I see that you are confused and lack basic understanding of the brilliance of my post/threads. I will account this to the fact that you are new and not accustomed to a deeper and more astute veiw of boxing and it participants. I did not say that Johnson's manhandling of Dawson tonight was his finest or greatest accomplishment. I was concluding and correctly I might add, that in this particuliar instance, Glencoff was more a winner than loser. In this fight he was more the winner because of his aggression and effectiveness against a up and coming fighter. At nearly 40 this was a major accomplishment.
