Johnson UD. He'll match output and is arguably a harder hitter. If Joe C pulled out wice already, don't ever expect him to face the road warrior.

Johnson already ducked Joe instead of rescheduling a fight when Joe could barely move, he fought and lost to Clinton Woods of all people, so imagine if Woods beat him, what would Calzaghe do?

personallu i see it as a really really good style matchup, eventhough joe could be pressured into boxing, i dont see anyone of the guys giving an inch..

both have the chin, the stamina and will power to keep it going for the whole 12 rounds, could actually be a one hell of a fight..

i just cant chose a winner, given johnsons performance against dawson.. had i been asked before the dawson fight, i would have picked joe via conmfortable ud, bit right now im not so sure..

Glen is old and slowing down. Cal would outpoint him with some rough patches here and there.

Let Cal face a worthy opponent, like Dawson

Ive been waiting for this fight for a few years but Joe wont fight Johnson.
If it does ever happen the Road Warrior give's Calzaghe a very hard fight despite his age.
On his day Johnson could break Calzaghe, the volume punching wouldn't bother Johnson in fact i think he'd enjoy it.

Calzaghe has always dealt well against pressure fighters whether it was Lacy or Byron Mitchell so I would think he would beat Johnson fairly easy but being that Calzaghe has pulled out of a proposed fight with Johnson two or three times I have to say I'm not too sure of my analysis because of that.

There are sometimes legitimate reasons for pulling out.

Vitali pulled out of the Rahman fight a couple times.

Now does anyone seriously think he was worried about the dude ?

I for one do, you must remember, Vitali was first set to fight Rahman in the spring of 05, in Rahman's previous fight he destroyed Kali Meehan in devastating fashion, the same Meehan that gave Brewster all he could handle in losing a very close decision a few months earlier. After the fight many ringside observers said that it was Rahman's best perfromance in years.

Vitali backed out of the Rahman fight 4 times, the last time was because of a freak injury Vitali sustained from being floored by Travis Walker during a sparring session, and on the way down he hurt his knee, forcing him to pull out for the fourth and final time in late 05.

I feel there was something Vitali seen in Rahman that scared him, what it was I dont exactly know.

This is one of the better fights that should have happened, but like a few others it never did. Johnson is too old now...

And to add authenticity to his case, he underwent major knee surgery.

This is the same guy who pressed hard for a rematch with Lennox, who made mincemeat of Rahman.

And who came back after four years absence and took on a more difficult challenge in Peter.

Like I said, fear of Rahman had nothing to do with it. That vey idea is a joke.

Johnson had his hands full with clintin Woods, who is a good step below Calzaghe...Johnson also called out Calzaghe when Johnson knew joe was injured, and later when he was going thru s a sticky divorce..Joe likely s UD winner, and johnson aint much older than joe is
