I do see where you're coming from but I would hope the people that matter might give him some credit for unifying the Cruiserweight division before stepping up to Heavyweight and winning a title there too.

That's vastly more than any of Wlad's other opponents have acheived and surely is worth some kudos.

Yep, definity. I wasn't trying to put Haye acheivements down (except in the jokey post to David about judging fighters harshly).

Haye has had a very good career but to be "The Man" at heavweight is a big goal to leave unfufilled and, like I say, I think that will stand out on Hayes record more than the fight not happening will stand out on Wlads record.

Been saying all along Haye is a chancer and a fraud.

Haye needs to beat them, not the other way around.

I'm not a fan of Vitali Klitschko by any means, but his career at HW pisses all over Haye's part time effort since 2008, as does Wladimir's.

One American fringe contender, a 7'2'' paper champion, a shot contender and a journeyman isn't the slate of a top fighter.

If these fights don't happen it will reflect worse on Haye, as many people have said. As far as the Klitschko's go, there'll be other loudmouths with far more substantial HW resumes to test themselves against.

 

Good on Glenn for telling it like it is instead of being a company man. Haye needs Wlad, and like Glenn said, he should be doing everything he can to get in the ring instead of arguing about contracts and ****.

 

Except he did do everything he could and Wlad bolted to fight Chisora.

 

Wlad was gonna fight Chisora anyway before he got injured and pulled out. Or should Wlad be like Haye who pulled out of a fight because of "Injury" (meaning Setanta) and then didn't make it happen later?

Hayes had multiple opportunities to make a fight happen but hasnt taken them. Haye needs Wlad more than the other way round so he should be making sacrifices when it comes to contracts and doing everything possible to get Wlad in the ring. McCrory, a friend of Haye (and has also criticized Wladimir a lot in the past), a Sky employee has taken the side of Wladmir. That tells you everything you need to know.

 

The past isn't relevant to right now. There was no strong reason to hold the fight off other than Wlad wanting to suit himself. Which he did. And stopped the fight as a result.

They can both be criticised but McCrory's article is heavily biassed. Poor journalism and he should know better.

 

I am not so sure McCrory is a friend of Haye, i remember when Haye was with setanta he was disparaging of him for fighting Barrett which was a fine for a first fight at heavyweight imo.The Sky pundits view of the Valuev fight was odd,most saying Haye lost.I think some of the Sky pundits are jelous of the money and status that Haye has.

 

They both deserve criticism for prior actions. This time it looks like Wlad's fault. If you or McCrory can't see that then I just don't know. It's as plain as the nose on your face.
