    Even outside of boxing, sports fans, fight fans......
    Who is more popular & is known around the globe?

    - Manny Pacquiao.
    - Floyd Mayweather jr (PAY PER VIEW KING).

    I feel like if you know one, you'll know both. So probably equal. They've both helped each other get known if you think about it. The two names have been mentioned with each other and paired up so much that you can't really know who Mayweather is w/o knowing who Pacquiao is and vice versa.

    I don't know, it's hard to say really, I'll say about even. They're both popular.

    It's probably close, but Mayweather probably just shades it.

    :lol::lol::lol::rofl:rofl

    Boxing has only ever produced one global icon, and it ain't some little squirt from the Philippines, neither is it some bling covered halfwit from Grand Rapids Michigan.

    Either way, casual fans and other sports fans will order the Pacquiao-Mayweather PPV.

    The PPV numbers will be huge.

    I assume you are talking about Ali, but honestly.... Tyson was an icon of boxing worldwide, and to think otherwise simply isn't an accurate portrayal of history. Tyson could and can go to practically every continent on earth and would be famous there. For one reason or another, he is indeed an icon of the modern era.

    Mayweather/Hatton has the ppv record in Britain also

    not Lewis/Tyson
    not any of David Haye's fights
    not Pacquiao/Hatton

    Mayweather vs Hatton

    But none of his other fights did dirt in Britain. Hatton was the star Brits were paying to see, which is why Hatton got the pay per view money for the UK while Mayweather got his split from the US. Hatton might have made more money on that fight than Mayweather. It's sort of like how Mexican tv goes crazy for Mexican boxers. Mayweather doesn't interest them unless he's fighting a Mexican like Marquez or Alvarez.

    But are you sure that Froch vs Groves II didn't set a new record in Britain?

    They're both popular worldwide. The real question is, which one is famous, and which one is infamous...
