Decision of some kind for Wulan Tuolehazi.

 

Well, he didn't overly impress me, but good on Tuolehazi for gritting his way this far...after finishing his first year in the pros with a 2-3 record he is on a nice 2-year rebound going 7-0-1 (4) and capturing the WBO Asia Pacific and now WBC Silver flyweight titles.

 

Oh boy, time for coed synchronized ragtime dancing with tophats.

 

I'm not joking. They've found a couple of tall lanky Chinese gents (decked out in suspenders and white tux shirts with black pants, and heavy applications of pomade) flanked by four Chinese gals with makeup liberally caked on with blonde wigs and bedecked in ruffly flapper dresses. This is uncomfortable.

 

It could have been easy for him, from the looks of it, but he left too much doubt like @Boxing Prospect said just not working (as whenever he did, he dominated). It was almost like Tuolehazi's power made him cautious, but honestly Tuolehazi doesn't even look all that monstrous a hitter.

Just a lazy day at the office, and it cost him that zero.

Zhang Zhilei vs. Don Haynesworth, 10 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Round 1

Haynesworth is cautiously moving to his left, pawing out the left jab to check Zhilei's right. Zhilei is waving his arm in from the side with a lackadaisical right hook feint, then recoils it to his chest and snaps out a jab, which sends Haynesworth running. The American is giving Zhilei a lot of respect, trotting in a rapid spiral outside to hug the ropes. Zhilei is jabbing clumsily into the high crossed-arms guard of Haynesworth. Nothing but two-fisted shove-parries mustered by Haynesworth, knocking Zhilei's hands back toward him. Zhilei starts opening up with lead lefts on the chest and slapping right hooks above the left hip. Haynesworth tries a 1-1-2 into the armpit while ducking in under a Zhilei jab but just grazes his pecs. Zhilei batters Haynesworth's guard to back him into a corner and slaps his side with a loud right hook.

Maybe this will be a wake-up call. It was a fight he could've won.

 

Haynesworth definitely received a script. (along with some extra compensation)
