I recently returned a set of 10oz. Lonsdale Amateur Competition gloves because they weighed about the same as my 14oz. Everlast gloves (actual: 13.2 - 13.5 oz.). LonsdaleUSA customer service explanation is the gloves are measured by the padding not the total weight. Winning, Grant and Everlast said the weight is the entire glove not just the padding (which I thought was the normal). So do some companies just measure the padding and you're suppose to guess the total weight? And in competition is the weight not measured or can the glove tag say 10oz. but really weigh 13.2oz. be okay? Measuring the padding doesn't sound right.
