I agree with your wife probably knowing her stuff but it wasn't a good stoppage, not even close.

You cant compare white collar, amateur or maybe a competitive professional bout (I have no idea how far you took it) to a world title fight.

It might of been an okay stoppage for you, your lads and wife but I'm absolutely positive ANY top professional fighting for a world title would be absolutely gutted to have it stopped like that.

Can see your point , it was a world title fight , , I would be gutted if it was me in there and got stopped like it was , I can't blame Groves for being upset and gutted , He was ahead on points , but he was starting to gas , and he was hit with some good shots , he did'nt or could'nt answer .

But like you say and its a very valid point , it was a WORLD TITLE FIGHT , Its a fight that was full of ifs , and to be honest it was probably the best thing ever happenned to Groves . I mean now he gets another GOOD payday , If he wins the worlds his oyster , if he loses especielly by stoppage , it puts it to bed .

I think people should give Froch a lot of credit though , he could of refused the rematch , theres lots of others who would of refused it .

What i can't help but wonder is , if Groves wins , WILL HE GIVE FROCH ANOTHER GO .

she has all that experience yet you claim she was unbiased as she didn't see the fight first time around/didn't know who Groves or Froch were?

Pull the other one mate, and this isn't coming from a Froch/Groves "fanboy".

She's just like every other boxing widow , once her familly stopped , lost interest , simple its not rocket science , I'm only a casual observer , nowadays , not involved in the sport , in any way shape otr form , except has a fan .

She would rather go to bingo than a fight night now , but if i was to start training lads again , i've got no doubt , she would be back to selling raffle tickets , , and cheering the boys along , .

Other than that tell her Ricky Hatton or Calagazie are fighting she would know, who they are , . Froch , Kessler , Groves Degale , she would'nt have a clue , and would'nt care ,, unless there guest callers at the playhouse , bingo hall ..

And the reason she had not watched it , was simple , she did'nt know who they were and whats more was'nt interested , , But after watching the fight , and the face off , she's like me now , can't wait till saturday night .

But you really do need to chill out .

I'm no a big drinker, but i am partial to a glass or two of a nice Margaux.

I've never been attracted to the delights of Lanliq, Eldorado, or Buckfast.

And i get plenty, so no need for furniture against the bedroom door, and box's of Kleenex. ;)
