Do not rattle poor Kahuna's cage.... anything negative about his fella is jumped upon.

    Love knows no bounds.

lets face it, Froch should have won this exchange anyway, he is meant to be the older and wiser man. He is the one under pressure to show control, he cant let this young kid get under his skin etc. when George loses these exchanges, well if he does, he is less bothered about it becasue its almost expected, he is up against a tested champ. I don't particularly like the way George acted, the staring out he kept doing made him look a bit daft, and it surely didn't service the purpose of intimidated Froch. These build up things are more about who can annoy who more, its not going to mean much when they get in the ring.

you cant tell much from this stuff but I will say I am believing Froch when he says he will finish Groves inside the distance, I think he does believe that. I don't think George looking like a petulant child means much a all. He cracked a bit in the last press conference before the first fight, when Froch said he had stinky breath, but it didn't mean a thing did it, George still went out and performed.

This is without a doubt one of the most fascinated fights I have been around to see. All this build up trash wont mean much on fight night and I don't think less of them even though they have both looked like tools a times in the run up to the fight.

Edit - I will agree that George uses David Haye's school of trying to intimidate opponents before a fight. A couple of times I spotted his mannerisms are exact to Haye, the way he phases stuff. But he is a youger guy and is finding his own identity. When he is not acted like a petulant kid I kind of like Groves, he comes accross as a nice bloke, I also admire that he must have strength of mind to get where he is and do what he did in his last fight. At the end of teh day both these guys are great in my mind.

I'd rather watch daytime tv ads than the Macaulay Culkin (RIP) lookey-likey Groves. He's getting ever more cringeable by the day now. Give me loan shark, bingo, stair lift ads and starving africans anyday over this tit end. This fight's gonna be a huge anti climax anyway imho as Froch will batter him.

Dear oh dear where do we start?
George Groves looks nothing like Macaulay Culkin who by the way isn`t dead but a person with a couple of brain cells would believe everything they read on the internet.

The fight will not be an anti climax and Froch wont be battering Groves.

Good post. I would go with most of that. Bring on the fight. I'm on a weekend off work and cannot wait.

thanks, yep its time for the fight isnt it, this stuff is getting a bit tired now and they are both looking a bit silly as it goes on. i hope they both chill at the press conference to be honest.

Groves is really trying to get under Froch's skin, maybe just trying to intimidate him or make him question himself but I find it a bit annoying and OTT. Thought Froch came off well.

None of this has any bearing on the outcome of the fight though.

This all stems from too smooth Booth he's apparently big into his "nlp" psychology type stuff.

And yeah when GG stops being so bloody weird he seems alright to be fair.

Froch's always been very nervous and edgy before fights though hasn't he? The first Groves fight he fell to pieces in the build up but for this one he's really back to the norm

I think am objective, so will tell it like it is. There is no question GG won the media stuff last time. No problem admiting that. But even the most die hard GG fan must admit he ain't getting it his own way this time. You could see he don't like it that his tactics ain't really working. And as for his comment that Carl isn't a 12 round fighter proves what a mug he is

Froch to me looks like his fighting desperately not to bite. Doesn't look natural or comfortable at all.

Froch trying to claim he beat Groves up 7, 8, and 9 was laughable.
