At least the final was competitive and I've always resented Camarelle for never having the stones to try his luck in the pros. Savon gave AJ a schooling and had the games been anywhere else but London, you can guarantee he'd have been out in round 1 the same as Breazeale. Still, it is what it is.
Don't think any jabbing and slipping will be happening. I don't think breazeale will back anything up. Another can
I'm expecting a repeat of Martin vs Joshua. Breazeale is one of those terrible Olympic boxers who tries to poke his way to a decision and doesn't even think about going for a KO. He has a high KO%, but that's only because his opposition has been awful. I will never respect Joshua as long as his best wins are all these untested "prospects" who people only theorize might be good.
Olympic and amateur boxing is so corrupt I had stopped following it. I don't know how many times i'd see a significant punch land and it not get counted. For Breazeale to be a dangerous fight he's doing to have to stand up to AJ's power and there's no way to tell if Breazaele has it in him. I just don't see how this is a competitive fight. Maybe if he if can jab or have something to keep AJ off of him.
at them doing a segment like this for this joke of a fight. Joshua is going to get his Glass Jaw Shattered soon enough.
wow so many people hating on AJ :think here is the thing, I agree about him being lucky to have got the gold, regardless, I still think he could become the Wlady of part of the future. not because I fan boy him, because he hits very hard, is very big and is pretty good to boot, thus because I see him having the potential to go farther than most. I don't care if I am wrong, plus he could test positive for PEDs and get banned for life for all I know, all I am saying is that I see his ceiling as being pretty high when compared to most of the other top dudes.
As a Joshua fan, I was watching that part thinking to myself 'yeah that's right AJ, yeah tell em..wow that's a lot your saying..ok that's enough' lol.
Wow, you seem to be forgetting that AJ has just a 16 fight professional record. He is STILL very young and has only been a professional for a comparatively short time. You seriously expect him to have a long resume against the very best heavyweights in the world already? Get real please. AJ is fighting prospects and should continue to do so, the expectations you and others have are unreasonable. Yes he holds a version of the world title, but really consider how false that is when the only title that matters right now is the one Fury holds.
This was borderline cringeworthy, I haven't heard of Brezeale before the fight was announced. AJ has to be careful he doesn't follow Wilder's playbook by cherrypicking totally overmatched guys.
There's never too many of these gloves are off videos. I'd do that for every fight, don't like it don't watch it.
Breazy speaks with conviction. He believes what he is saying. Is he deluded? Probably, but it won't be another quit job.
