What can i do about protecting joints in my hands?

Lately i have a problem with one of my joints of my index finger, i hit hard and there seems to be nothing i can do about my fingers bending back too far when i hit the bag

I'm using 12 oz gloves with wraps, but the problem does not seem to be lack of padding, rather it's the distribution of the padding

Too much padding on the front end of the gloves where the fingers are which means that part is making contact with the bag rather than the knuckle area, and it seems that all gloves are like this

I tried hitting the bag with mma gloves and i did not have this problem

    Any advice?

You gotta get the right gloves. Some gloves are like that. There just too much padding and its hitting your fingers and not your knuckles

Lemarr Boxing - seen a few pro's train with these
Lonsdale - not bad, not great
Tao - Decent if you have smallish hands, new styles seem to come up really tight

Check these out, decent/okayish brands price wise.

I've had no hand problems at all since using Grant gloves - but they're pricey.

Well, a few, but a lot less than before
