Im a big boxing fan but never been in a boxing ring enough to feel the difference of 8 onze vs 10 onze. I like to study style and science and like to think its a huge difference. Can someone who experience it tell me how big, if any, of a difference it is?

Imagine being punched in the face. Then imagine that fist being covered by padding so it takes the sharp edge off the cutting of the bare fist. Then imagine adding padding, or taking it away. Its really not that complicated. What really matters, is what the padding is made of. Be they Reyes gloves they are generally considered harder and the 'punchers glove'

Then you have Grant brand gloves which are considered the 'boxers glove' They are softer and more padded thus adding much more protection to the hand, thereby used by some frgile handed boxers like Paulie mallinaggi and joe calzaghe...

it depends on who's punching with those 10's or 8's.

go to a sports store and try 1 on. 1st take the 10 ounce 1 and hit yourself in the face with it really hard. then, grab the 8 ounce 1 and do the same thing. u'll be able to know the difference then
