LOL at the guys on SBS crying that Kewell shouldn't have been sent off blah blah blah. If the roles were reversed and it happened to a Ghana player handling the ball on the line i wonder what their opinion would be then. Their wouldn't be a referee in the world who would not have given a penalty and red card for Kewell in the situation.

I dont agree mate...yeah they should have got the shot on goal but not a send off.

It hit him high on the arm almost on the shoulder and his arm was only 3 inches from his side...its not if he threw his arm out to stop it.

Ash it is a send off mate. Even kalac in the SBS studio said it was. As i said earlier if the roles were reversed i wonder what the Aussie's would be saying then.
When an out field player is defending on the line he MUST keep his arms glued to his sides in case this scenario happens which happened last night. If your arm is away from your body and a shot at goal comes in contact with it then the referree really has no option. Correct decision imo.

Addy should have been sent off in the 40th minute for his challenge on Bresciano.

Goal difference won't matter if Ghana beat the Huns, just a win will do versus Serbia.

Unluckiest team in the world behind Ireland. Oh well, 3-0 against the Serbs and Germany crushing Ghana will see us through. Those holding their breath may be doing so until 2014

That's another reason I can't get into that game.
I took your word for the foul, then I saw the replay (That the referee could have seen) & saw that the ball hit his shoulder.
As Kewell said "Penalty yes. Send off no. Did I play at the ball? definately not!"

On the other send off in the first game.
If it was for the tackle I saw on TV, it's highly suspect for a penalty, let alone a send off.
In Rugby league, a late tackle is determind by the referee's opinion on the degree of committment.
    You can't prevent momentum. It's a no-brainer.

**** of a game :huh

Theres 2 scenarios that will see us go through...

The first is Ghana beating Germany and us beating Serbia. The other is Germany beating Ghana, and us beating Serbia while making up the points difference which is currently 5 goals in Ghana's favor.

It wont matter anyhow as Serbia will beat us.
