I have never said they don't matter, but they certainly don't matter as much as you think.
Have you actually punched in any of these gloves you name? Genuine question. I have, and guess what, there is very little difference. Reyes gloves are the harder, but there is not a massive difference, especially considering they are all 8oz gloves (in Morales' case). It DOES NOT decide whether someone is knocked out or not, and it DOES NOT impact the bout as much as deciding the winner.

The rest of your points are irrelevant after this. You can't just grow an obsession about these gloves and Morales, how Morales is scared to get KO'd, etc...this is why he wears Winning gloves. Then go on to list boxers who have been hurt by Winning gloves, then brush it off as a none factor. What kind of bull**** is that?

All 8oz gloves hurt, a certain brand of gloves, slightly more compact or not does not decide the outcome of a bout, it also does not decide whether a knockout happens or not. Defense, skill, etc all play much, much bigger parts in the outcome of a bout than boxing gloves do. But Pacquiao would have knocked Morales out if he had Reyes gloves in the first bout. Maidana would have knocked Morales out if he had Reyes gloves on (even if Morales had Maidana hurt on a couple of occasions). atsch Exactly what you're implying.

The fact is, boxers have preferences in terms of gloves, they don't all wear the same...if a boxer agrees in the contract to wear a certain type of glove, that is up to them. Like every other boxer out there, Morales wants to get as much out of the negotiating process as he can, if that means he pushes for both boxers to wear the same gloves, so be it. That other boxer agrees to it, it's not a problem. So it shouldn't be a problem for you.

Winning gloves are not like pillows, no 8oz glove is like a pillow. Of course different brands can be more compact, but no 80z glove is like a pillow. Now if we are talking about different oz's instead of different brands, then a 14oz glove (the gloves I used to spar 2 days ago) are like pillows in comparison to 8oz gloves.

Maidana got hurt by Winning gloves, Maidana was using the same gloves, I'm still assuming you think that if he was wearing Reyes gloves, instead of the huge swollen eye (via Winning) Maidana would have knocked Morales out?

Cant really say how much difference do they make as opposed to other brand gloves but theres no denying that there have been several fighters complaing about those winning gloves.
