Yeah they always get their ass kicked by the top guys but boxing needs characters like these two to keep things interesting. Especially when you got a bunch of no personality stiffs like Klitchko representing the sport. Sure they have no class but they're entertaining and people will always watch them fight. I've been watching the Jones/Calzaghe press conferences and these guys are so respectful it makes me sick. I'm I the only one who wants to see some trash talking and geniune animosity before a fight?
Amen. Respect should be left till after the fight, pre-fight is all about the build up and entertainment and that includes wankerish comments.
It most definitely gives a good taste when you see these trash-talkers go down! :thumbsup I like trash-talk, the 'restpectful way', not the Mayorga way.
Mayorga is great because he's one of the major **** talkers who always seems to get his at the end. It's like a movie almost with Mayorga as the major villain. The problem is when you have 9000 boxers all talking ****. Then it becomes mundane.
I agree wholeheartedly but at the end of the day, if the actual fite doesn't live up to the **** talking, its done in vain. We all know how much **** Mayweather talked b4 the De La Hoya fite, but the fite itself was garbage. Then you have guys like Rafael Marquez and Israel Vasquez who have the utmost respect for each other, but beat the **** outta each other for 3 fites. I do agree tho, I think the sport needs more characters like these two. The **** is funny as hell!
Yeah but thats why I mentioned only Miranda and Mayorga because they talk **** but than come in and fight...win or lose. I've never seen them in boring fights...thats the difference between them and Gayweather.
He is fighting on november 11th in Hollywood,Florida on the same card with Glen Johnson and Buddy McGirt jr.,no opponent named
True. Vargas was somewhat in that category too. I don't remember too many boring fites that he's ever been in. He used to talk **** too, just not as funny as Mayorga and Miranda.
