In the past when the new season has started they've announced their schedule (or a preview) of what's coming up home and abroad, during their first show. Here's hoping we get a few nice surprises this Friday - wishful thinking though. Agree with previous post regarding Super 6 - Mick needs to let the fans know what's going on.
I cant remember the last Friday night fight which was worth a look at in terms of it being a good fight. Sky is backing the wrong man in Warren look at other promoters about I would rather have Haye's fighters than Warrens and even Maloney has a decent few he is the only 1 saving the SKY coverage with Munroe and his stable of fighters it is those fights that are on FFN these days. Warren would rather have all his fighters on a PPV suporting Khan.
Unfortunatly UFC has got an appeal to a younger audience now... and it is very depressing that we aint getting hardly any boxing on TV...:-(
its cheaper to show guys cycling round a velodrome, or angling. :verysad as well as FFN we alsp have ITV4 showing the O'Donnel - GLover fight on Saturday though
it's more the fact that sky sports have scaled right back. bare in mind they are a subscription channel and have always delivered decent boxing coverage. with them bailing out a lot of stuff and setanta going under the coverage has got really bad. i agree the other sports are cheaper sadly.
I think that has more to do with money than popularity. More casual British sports fans would know of Froch than this ***** Daley. Daley obviously comes a lot cheaper than Frochatsch
I've seen this advertised a few times with the focus on Glover which is interesting (or maybe they couldn't get hold of O'Donnell for publicity). ITV have had some excellent fights over the last couple years and that's going soon. It's all too depressing ain't it. Back to the bad old days - but at least we've got the internet now to share the gloom or whetever
