Everyone keeps talking about how great Mosley-Mayweather is going to be.This fight 4/5 years ago would have been a great fight but people:SHANE IS 38 years old hasn't fought in over a year and hasn't faced ANYONE close to the speed of Mayweather. The only reason why this bout was made in the first place was because Mayweather-Pac couldn't be made.
Yes Shane looked great against a brawler with LIMITED SPEED but Mayweathers a different story.I don't want the Mayweather nuthuggers coming on after Floyd beats Shane talking smack-Mayweather knows this is an easy bout for him-thats why he took it.
Look at Mayweathers comeback fight-Marquez had to go all the way up in weightclass to fight Mayweather and prior to that you could see Marquez starting to slip-if Juan Diaz had any power Marquez would have been stopped.Jesus I can't wait for Mayweather to retire-I'm tired of watching him pick and choose boxers he damn well knows have no chance against him.

How about some young up and coming fighters? How about Paul Williams who would be a MUCH better fight then Shane. How about not someone who hasa big name but is WAY past there prime?

Paul Williams isn't exactly up and coming, and he'll never see 147 again.

Apart from Pac, Mosley is the best opponent out there for FMJ. Should give him credit for that at least.

Which young up and coming fighters?

Paul Williams I give you, but he fights in a different weight class.

I do agree that Floyd hasn't been properly tested, but right now, there isn't much out there that everyone would be happy with. If Floyd fought Pac, there would be many people that say Floyd is fighting someone who is too small, just like they did when he beat Hatton (who is bigger than Pac) and JMM.

Explain?Williams has said he would go down to welter. And how is Shane the best fight for Mayweather?Best fight or BIGGEST name?If Shane had stuggled with Antonio would there be a demand for this bout?

But Shane DIDN'T struggle against Margo, so there's no point going down that line.

If Williams says he wants Floyd and says he will go down to Welter to do it and Floyd doesn't want the fight, then you have a point.

Until then, Shane is the best fight for him.

Exactly. Berto? no, most people thought Shane was gonna beat him. There isn't much in the bracket of top pound for pound fighters.

The threadstarter is one of those stupid boxing fans that he's refering to. Mosley is the guy everyone wanted Mayweather to fight after the Pacquiao fight fell apart. Mosley is also rated as the no.3 p4p fighter in the world and he's rated as one of the top WWs. Face it, besides Pac, this is the toughest WW Floyd could've took on.

What has Williams done at WW that makes him more of a challenge than Mosley?

Williams isn't even ranked in the Top 10, and should Floyd have fought PW at 147 then there would be obvious accusations about him being seriousl weight drained.

Absolute nonsense. Who ever wins this fight deserves all the plaudits that comes their way.

Yep, there's no other choice really. He doesn't want any part of Williams and his stupid crazy work rate. Thus it's only Mosley since option 1 fell out.

If I can find the quote i will show you ...Marquez chose Mayweather ...Mayweather accepted the fight...he didn't pick this fight.

Since Pac moved up in weight ,Marquez thought he could do the same ..and somethimes you can't do like everyone else :deal...JMM was taught a good lesson ....he now fights at 140.

And how did Mosley retain his ranking being unactive for over a year?
And why would Williams go down in weight when Mayweather will never fight him?How about fighting someone who isn't close to 40 years old and is on the way up not on the way down.Mike Jones is rated in the top 10 is he not?
Did you ever see Mosley-Mayorga?Shane looked HORRIBLE-Collazo was Mosley's swan song.He got outboxed by Cotto and was being outboxed by Mayorga prior to stopping him.
