It just shows the sheer stupidity of Brock Lesnar fans! haha

and yes I too would rather he lose to Werdum then pretty much ANY other fighter out there. I wanna see a rematch AND Werdum versus Overeem along with Fedor versus Overeem. I'm certain Fedor wouldn't be so bold in a rematch.

I agree with this assessment. Fedor is not the same fighter from 2003-2004 who was able to keep a blistering ground and pound on Nogeira and simply power his way out of Nog's submission attempts. Fedor figured he would do the same to Werdum as he did to Nog and got perfectly in the triangle choke/armbar. Fedor will still be aggressive if he fights Werdum again. But this time he will be more careful about Werdum's obviously dangerous high guard. Although past his prime Fedor still would have an excellent chance at winning a rematch with Werdum. But this is the classy Brazilians night. We should all salute Fabricio Werdum.

An Abu Dhabi Champ took advantage of a Fedor mistake and submitted him with an armbar/triangle combo. Somehow I doubt Brock Lesnar could have pulled that off. Now if Fedor was took down tonight, smashed with elbows and TKOed by Werdum then id say yeah Lesnar could have maybe did that.

Simple as that he still lost. For Mir-Lesnar first off in regards to that other poster it wasnt an ankle lock it was a kneebar totally different and how was it a fluke ? Lesnar stood there in a square guard and Mir took advantage of that mistake which is usually how submissions happened. Now lets say Lesnar tripped over his own feet or the ref bumped into him then Mir hit the submission well thats a fluke.

Absolutely spot on. Didn't he go into the fight with Couture with a record of 1-1?

Not at all. He made a mistake and got caught. Such is life. It wasn't a stylistic nightmare that exposed that much. However I do think Fedor is wild and always has been. I think Werdum had an excellent game plan. Even though he lost the stand up exchange, it look like he had the right idea standing and on the ground.
