Hey guys. Ive had 2 fights at 165. To be precise, around 168-9 (both were club shows). Im a pudgy fella, so I think im gonna take it a little more seriously and try to get down to 155ish (obviously 152 would be ideal). Im 5 10. Mainly, I feel simply physically weaker than the other guys at 165. Their punches feel heavy, and although I never punched myself, Im betting my power doesnt compare. If you had an experience going down a weight class, do you find that punching power is different and easier to deal with? Ive sparred guys at 152 and obviously i dont feel the punches as much, but Im also heavier. So I guess my question is - do punches feel lighter, or does it make little difference since YOU are also lighter.
