http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WiTnyL-YHU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30ERysGfMvo What do yall think? Me and Talkboxing having a conversation about going out on your shield...smart move or dumb move? I say if you getting your ass whooped and have no chance of winning try to box your way to the end smartly(DO NOT QUIT). Talkboxing says if you getting your ass whooped and have no chance of winning go balls out and go out there snd get the KO or get KOed (and end up getting your balls banged)
if you could box your way out , then you wouldnt be in the spot of having no chance.....so thats easier said than done...you have to go for the KO if you want to at least go for the win...
I think a true competitor would rather be knocked unconscious then to have the fight stopped by outside forces....
Hearns - Hagler That's going out on your shield. If there was ever a fighter who gets props for being KOd in the beginning of a fight, it has to be this one. Them fools was like "**** the bull****! Let's get this over with."
I guarantee that the vast majority of people who knock a fighter for quitting have quit at something far less taxing than getting your ass beat. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them cats are high school drop outs. 'Why didn't you get your high school diploma?" "That **** was tuff" Nah...getting punched in the face is tough. Once you realize that one side has no chance and is just getting pummeled, and you WANT them to fight on, you've crossed over into human cockfighting.
"chico was down on his chips but he got up and said I gonna go out in a blaze of glory, he got up and almost killed the other dude. That greatness"... that statement should give any one chills
If I was indestructable I would go balls out, but unfortunately you could totally ruin your career and your health if you do so. Check out Dimitri Sartison getting carried out on a stretcher after his 12 rd KO from Mikkel Kessler bc. he wanted to prove he could go the distance. Good greif.
Go all out all the time . . . even if you get KOed in the process. AT least you went for it and got KOed rather than spend each round running around and covering up trying to survive instead of punching In a NO WIN situation . . . the best you can do . . . is to get out of there with your pride and ego intact. :deal
I know his reputation is extremely tainted after the handwraps scandal but you have to give Margo credit for begging his corner to let him go out for the 9th against Mosley after the beating he took in the 8th.
I understand why people want to do it but I don't think they should. This is not life or death, it's a sport. You shouldn't intentionally risk your health like that.
