I truly believe this is going to be a bad bad night for Eddie . Chisora is going to get spanked and he will need longer be able to chisora on every ppv card now as he will show what he is tonight and that's shot!! Dave Allen is going to get knocked out in spectacular fashion ending hearns chance of repetitively cashing in on a limited fighter who the casuals love . Now for the main I really think Rivas is going to do a total number on Whyte once again to much talk of fury ,wilder etc Whyte will be totally gassed by round 6 Rivas will give him hell. Whyte had taken his eye off the fight otherwise he wouldn't have come in at 18-7. That is not a good weight when your fighting a quicker man who puts on relentless pressure Have a good evening Edward!!!
Whyte actually came in at 18-2. So not much more than he did for Del Boy. He also uses his size a lot better than the other big heavies, will be leaning on him the whole time which saps the strength of the more explosive fighters. Time will tell and Rivas definitely has a chance but I think Whyte prevails personally. Del Boy I'm a bit undecided on. Could go either way. Allen wins also for me, Hard to pick Price over everyone after Kash Ali fight
It'll be an uneven night for him. Whyte gets sparked out, Allen will be behind, and come from behind to score the KO. Chisora will get schooled, and then KO Szpilka late.
Where is this over confidence coming from with Rivas? Rivas is the smaller man, shorter arms, was dragged nearly all the way by Jennings, in a fight that was very very close after 11 rounds. The same Jennings that novice Joe Joyce just beat with more convincing scorecards after 11 rounds. And Joyce isn't exactly a bundle of skills. So Rivas' best win was not that convincing and it wasnt a great performance. Other than that what has he done to warrant this faith? Don't misunderstand, Rivas might win, who knows but I wouldn't be fully confident either way, I'm siding with Whyte because he is the proven fighter, fought better opponents and has better wins. I think this has more to do with hoping Hearn fails and just hating on Hearn and his stable of fighters.
Nah, it's not going to be a bad night for Hearn. He'd lose no sleep if anyone of these three took an 'L'. He needed a viable PPV show and, to be fair to him, he's just about pulled it off. The catch line of this event should be 'Ice to the Eskimos'
I think your assessment of Rivas is totally correct, but I struggle with Whyte being considered proven at this point. He has the W's on his record but his performances have been extremely shaky at best IMO.
Can't see Szpillka being able to beat Chisora. The Szpillka that fought Kownacki looked like a ridiculously shot fighter, regardless of age. He also just about beat Wach, who at this stage must be about as mobile as a ring post.
I think Allen will spark price quite early on. With Chisora you just never know. I thought he was completely shot after the Pulev fight but then he seemed to have the fire in his belly again for the first whyte fight and also knocked takam out a fight or two after that. Whyte vs Rivas is a toss up. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Mr Davo, I believe you're making very good points, when you think about it Whyte had two very very close fights with Chisora, maybe lost the first one and got a late stoppage in a fight that was very competitive. He knocked out Browne but Dave Allen did the same job quicker. Take the dodgy Knockdown away in the Parker fight and it's a draw on the cards I believe and many thought Parker won that. It's true really, if you actually take a closer look at Whytes resume and wins and the circumstances he got them in then is he really "proven"? Well, We will find out tonight..
