Going to the gym has done so much for my boxing

Recently got a gym membership (really cheap) for my cardio. Basically all I use are the treadmill, rowing machine and the bike. For the rest I do bodyweight exercises I also do during boxing class. The one thing I do the most is shadowbox with dumbbells which has worked wonders for my hand speed and holding them above my head and do a climbing motion with them to increase the shoulder endurance for my jabs.

I was thinking of also doing bench press but I'm worried this might fatigue my arms/chest too much so I can't box the next day..

I know I would be in better shape but not that it affects my boxing by such a big margin

bench press won't fatigue your muscles that much for the next day unless you are 90 years old or you do a horrendously over the top bodybuilding workout that needs days to recover from.
