The WBC haven't ordered Canelo to make a mandatory defense , they allowed him to have a voluntary.

They ordered a final eliminator between Charlo and Golovkin - winner gets Canelo.

If anybody is getting screwed here its Charlo , not Golovkin , since Charlo was already the mandatory.
