If Swiss dick is such a great CEO how come so many guys fight under his banner but so many won't sign contracts? Haymon is the answer and it gives is a glimpse into dicks future plans. He knows he might get canned n he will leave oscar with scraps. He starts up a new company. Which will really be his and Al's but that would be violating laws so on paper it's dicks. All the fighters are signed with haymon as manager under dicks company. Haymon gets 30% dick gets 30% n now they've taken most of the purse. Crookedest thing to happen to boxing since the mob. They make bob sound like such a crook but these 2 are on another level.
I know Floyd is not signed to GBP but they promote his fights, as far as I'm aware Floyd is the only fighter they put on who isn't signed to GBP, or am I wrong? If so who else?
Oscar fires Schaefer.Schaefer moves over to Hayman.HBO will not do biz with Hayman fighters.Showtime does biz with Floyd-who is with Hayman. Oscar may be the majority share holder, but he's just a face. He doesn't really do that much promoting and he seems pretty hands off on the business end of things. That's why all Golden Boy fighters thank Schaefer instead of Oscar in post fight interviews. Most Golden Boy fighters have royalty to to Schaefer, not Oscar and it's going to be a messy divorce if it happens. If the infighting is true, people shouldn't be surprised. Schaefer is one of the main reasons why HBO gave them the boot. The other is Haymon. They're sleazy motherf*ckers.
Yeah, good points.... I do not know how well Goldenboy does without Richard but yeah, it's going to happen. Oscar knows it and he is already stiring the boat by making peace with Top Rank. Expect Richard to open up his own promotional company, all of the fighters which fight under Goldenboy WITHOUT A CONTRACT will just fight under Richards new promotion. It's a great startegy but wow... crazy when it happens. At this point, I wonder how many fighters Goldenboy even has, most of Haymons fighters do not have contracts, the ones that do, he helped them get out of them.... Goldenboy does have Canelo.
