Linares is ducking in front of Cotto, rolling & weaving to his right and coming up shooting a jab. Cotto is backing up, giving up ground willingly, peering between his wrists at Linares. Clapping right hand up top by Linares, briefly catching his opponent as Cotto dives in the wrong direction mistakenly thinking he can out-speed Linares on foot to get by him, and just as quickly Linares releases him like a fisherman discarding too small a finny morsel. Linares is looking very sharp, bossing it with the jab, keeping Cotto shied into a lull. Cotto tentatively jabbing from a safe distance, exploratory, just prodding Linares' upper forearms and down by his elbows to gauge his reactions and compare his reflexes when head & body shots are thrown his way. Cotto not taking any chances so far. Linares setting the pace, a moderate to easygoing one, just putting in good work up top with the jab, a few rights. Very economical and technical.
