20-18 Sandoval, landing the harder shots, particularly the right uppercut past the southpaw González's stubby right jab, using his greater reach.

 

Sandoval turns lefty himself now, for a minute before growing bored with it and reverting orthodox. Sandoval ducking the hooks of González on the way inside and clattering home with big uppercuts, putting his full momentum behind them.

Their records are fairly similar at first glance (16-1, eleven kayos for Sandoval and 15-2-1, twelve kayos for González) but if you scratch beneath the surface you see that González's was heavily padded back home in Venezuela while Sandoval had a comparatively much tougher schedule alternating between the U.S. and Mexico, and his one loss was via MD to a then 4-0 (now 12-0) fellow prospect.

 

González scored a fat sweeping right hook early and buckled Sandoval's legs but spent the rest of the round getting backed up. Sandoval looping rights behind the jab and slamming them into the side of González's head, pressing him into the ropes, and then folding his arms up to deliver hinging combos into the body. González tries jabbing him off but is smothered.

González down heavily to start the fifth. The ref appeared to be waving it off but then change his mind and call time in? Or was just too vague in his gesturing and was never signaling for it to be off? Anyway, here they go - Sandoval rocking González repeatedly. Corner needs to stop this if the ref won't.

To be fair, you could also frame it this way: González had 45 non-connecting jabs, while Sandoval had 81...
