Golden Boy Promotions signed Mexican teenager star Saul Alvarez. It's a very important move by De La Hoya's stable since they spent the last few years looking for the next Golden Boy, a young Mexican or Mexican-American with a large following and a lot of skills. Whether Alvarez is the real deal in terms of potential is a question for the future, but he's already pretty impressive at 19, and I'm sure they are not gonna rush him into an early threat like they did it with Ortiz. Canelo has plenty of time.

    30-0-1 22KO is a scary record for a 19 year old kid.

being a ginger mexican isnt the only reason he gets so much attention

The kid is definitely good. I just think they may end up rushing him. At 19, he wants the big fights already but GBP should give him a couple of years against tune ups before he fights any of the top welters.

From what i see he looks like a kid that keeps his composure and has very good speed and power.

Could definately be a big name in the upcoming years.
Also in a divisons that is usually full of talent.

    Berto-Alvarez in 1 or 2 years anyone???

GBP is smart as hell to keep mentioning this kid's name with Floyd because everyone wants to see him now, including me.

I wonder if Victor Ortiz feels bad.

Oscar- ALRIGHT WE GOT SAUL ALVAREZ! NEW MEXICAN SUPERSTAR!

Victor- Hey Oscar, what about me?

Oscar- -whispering to Mosley-...Victor is still here?

Shane--whispers- I thought we cut him after the Maidana thing.

Victor- I see how it is.....

Oscar- Aw come on Victor! Of course you're the next Mexican star!

Victor- Alright I knew you guys still had faith in me.

Oscar- Yeah yeah go get Saul a coffee. You can be the next Mexican superstar coffee fetcher.

From that list i would stay away from Soto Karass. He is just too relentless. Now also i would say stay away from Gomez. HE showed some good skills in the Karass fight but im not sure that wasnt a fluke. Definately thought Karass would grind him down later on.
