Golden Boy has Marquez, Maidana, Khan and Hatton under their banner, so why not....

have Hatton v Marquez with Khan v Maidana on the undercard, with the winners facing off in late 2010? Khan has already stated that he's willing to fight on the undercard of a big Vegas bill. The hotels in Vegas would love this card, as it brings in the Mexican fight fans and the Brits.

HBO has already gone on record as stating that they're interested in broadcasting Maidana v Khan and I couldn't envisage them turning down the opportunity to show Hatton V Marquez on the same bill.

This card has the potential to make a lot of money and provide us the fans with entertaining fights. I would love to see it get made.

 

Khan has no name recognition in the States and Maidana isn't exactly a big name either. I couldn't see an event headlined by the two doing good numbers. On the other hand, both men would receive a lot more exposure if they were on the undercard of a Hatton/Marquez main event. In my opinion it would be a good investment in the future on Golden boy's part.
