Mayweather has been retired for nearly 2 years after all the insane promotion for the DLH and Hatton fights and GoldenBoy moved on just fine. One fighter doesn't kill an entire company. People thought the same of Arum a while ago when everyone he had was losing and Pac was still negotiating with GoldenBoy and TOP RANK. These are promotional companies, they will eventually look on to the rest in their stables and promote them. People said the same about other similar companies when Tyson, Ali, Holyfield..etc were set to retire, boxing always moves on.

GBP is really not connected with Mayweather at all. Mayweather, who said he's his own man, asked Hoya to promote his fight with Pac. Since GBP took the risk of promoting this fight knowing that this could make or break the company ( even though I know it won't.. not as much at least ) and now FLoyd is showing fear and signs that he wants to back out of the fight, GBP is trying to clean up and blame Top Rank and Pacquiao for Floyd's lack of balls. Too bad Arum has been around the block and is actually way smarter than Hoya, Shaefer and the whole entire Mayweather clan combine.
