Golden Boy launches new Boxing series "Fight Night Club" on Versus, Yahoo, and Ringtv

    Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and AEG announced today the launch of "Fight Night Club", a monthly boxing series at the new Club Nokia at LA LIVE across the street from STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles. "Fight Night Club" will feature some of Golden Boy's best up and coming professional boxing prospects in an upscale and intimate Club setting. The monthly series will kick off on June 11th and will be televised nationally on VERSUS at 9:00pm ET / 6:00pm PT and streamed live (and archived) on RingTV.com and Yahoo! Boxing.. In addition to the fights, fans will also get a chance to hear great music and enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance of one of LA's newest premier night club destinations.

    Glad to see Versus is back to airing Boxing. Dan Rafael also mentioned in his chat Versus will air a fight between Troy Ross and Ola Afolabi on June 20th as well.

    If it's on Versus will it potentially clash with the deal Versus has with Goosen promotions?

    Or is that done with now?

    You mean Top Rank, right? Top Rank's deal with Versus ended nearly a year ago, if not longer.

    I like the idea. Nightclubs actually provide a great atmosphere for fights. No need for the after-party.. you're already there!

    Finally! A boxing series available on both TV and free, worldwide internet streaming.

    It launches on Thursday, and I'm interested what kind of ratings that unusual day of the week for boxing can produce. But live streaming is very intelligent, hopefully it'll be free and available internationally.

    Oscar should of been putting his powers to use like this years ago, instead of selling us his crappy ass fights where "he had the best training camp ever"
