From the last minute or so of the fifth (and the subsequent highlights shown) that was two rounds in a row for Garcia at the end. Given how much visible damage he also inflicted, it's safe to say he's about to get the nod here even without having seen 2, 3, and 4.

Yeah, they're showing HL from throughout the fight and Garcia definitely seems to have been getting the better throughout.

Juanito Garcia - now 15-3 - is asked by Fischer how it felt to be written off and forgotten about in the sport of boxing. He says he definitely felt cast aside but showed tonight that he's here to stay for a long time.

He credits his training with Abel Sanchez to keep pouring on the aggression and forcing the fight (which a repeated highlight reel shows he really did effectively).

Teco Serrano refuses to use the broken nose as an excuse when Fischer sets it up for him. He gives credit to Garcia for his powerful body blows. Serrano grins and says the crowd likes blood so he enjoyed it (sustaining the injury). :yep

His right eye is horribly puffy. He can barely open it. He is in good spirits and very humble about this.

Mares admits that some of the tweets and forum posts in the aftermath hurt his feelings. He wants to be liked.

He plans to go back into the rematch still having the hungry mentality of a challenger despite being the current champion.

This would have been a five star card if we'd gotten to see the main event.

Anyway, good entertainment as usual and I look forward to seeing more of Sanchez, Valadez, Serrano and both Garcias (Lopez gets my respect for being a crafty journeyman, but is a bit negative for my tastes :yep)

Entering the 6th and final round of Ernesto Ocon vs. Ricardo Malfavon.

Main event tonight: Alfonso Blanco vs. Leshon Sims.

Ocon isn't terribly fast, but he's a good technician and does a bit of slick pop-and-lock out of the southpaw stance. He's splashing paint over every inch of the Malfavon canvas, working diligently but with no real haste from the outside. From the way Doug Fischer and his co-announcer are describing it, the first five rounds went much the same way in what should be a shutout to push the hometown light middleweight to 5-0 (2).

    Yep. 60-54 x3.

Malfavon falls to 1-6-1, and has only managed to steal a handful of rounds out of twenty-eight boxed in his pro career - and yet somehow he's a bit better than his record. Decent win for Ocon to build on.

Blanco was impressive against Cleven Ishe back in July on Solo Boxeo.

A little like PW in that he's quite tall for LMW and a high output guy, but unlike PW he picks his spots well and has really good punching technique.
