Kreal is using a southpaw right jab, sort of gently brushing the air with it to leave the threat of the truly snapped-out jab hovering in front of Mora. Good movement and boxing on the back foot by Kreal. Finally Mora gets near at about the halfway point and lands a BIG looping right that shakes Kreal's head a bit. Double left hook, right hand by Kreal while circling. Kreal puts out a lazy jab and Mora just left-hooks his arm away. Hard shots by Mora coming forward, untiring. Kreal is still blocking a majority of them, and countering with good lunging shots from off the ropes. Slapping hook by Kreal.

39-37 Mora, could maybe see a draw depending on what the judges like.

Doug Fischer says that Kreal should stay at the game despite now dropping to 0-2, that he should keep at it, and he's still got something to offer the sport.

Santiago Guevara vs. Salvador Cifuentes, 4 rounds @ super featherweight.

Guevara is another sophomore. Fischer is talking up his debut back in October (it was actually a non-televised portion of the last FNC card, as covered a couple of pages back in this very thread) against a Vietnamese tough guy named Naphi Mohammed. They are showing some highlights. Looks alright.

 

Oh ****, they changed the result in Mora vs. Krael.

One of the judges' cards was calculated incorrectly. One of the ones who had 39-37 for Mora actually scored it a draw 38-38.

Therefore the result is now majority DRAW.

Both men are still unbeaten. Krael just has two draws. :yep

 

Round 1

Guevara throws a nice straight jab, moving in short steps and covering up as Cifuentes lobs big right hands at him. Cifuentes is slow but determined. Wild body shots by Cifuentes. Slaps to either side by Cifuentes, caught on the arms. Guevara just blocks and watches. Now some jabs from Guevara, and some short body shovels. Guevara sprinkles a right hand reaching over the top of Cifuentes' gloves. Left hook by Guevara as Cifuentes is wildly exchanging with him. Cifuentes is FLOORED BY A BIG UPPERCUT. He gets up. Ten seconds left. Cifuentes comes forward trying to tie up. Wild flurry by Cifuentes. Guevara clips him with a hook to the chin just at the bell, and Cifuentes wobbles.

Cifuentes is chunky for a super featherweight, and they're giving him hell for it. :yep

 

Round 2

Guevara is jabbing up high as a ruse and then drilling hard rights to the flabby body of Cifuentes. Nice hooks to the face while leaning in against Cifuentes with his right arm by Guevara. Cifuentes tries to whack away at the sides of Guevara but lacks the pop to hold him off. Wayne Hedgepeth steps in to wave it off as Guevara starts flurrying on Cifuentes against the ropes.
